Been Better - Jimmy Purcell - Floor Signs

This was a urinal "epiphany" comic. Because on the way to the bathroom
of the local 24 hour diners where much pie has been consumed, there was
a caution-wet floor sign. And while I was taking care of business I thought
of how freaked out that sign sounds. As if the sign is so on edge that it feels
like everyone is going to slip on this wet floor if we don't all just calm the
f#%$ down!!!

Then I thought that using the word "careful" rather than "caution" might put
the situation at ease. At least if the sign was telling me to be careful, I can
just walk with a little more care to my step and make sure that I don't slip.
Caution just feels as if lives are at stake if I don't scrutinize the placements
of my feet and the gravity that I weigh upon them.

The train of thought continued to the final punchline of the comic. When do
we stop walking cautiously? Are we all under the assumption that all floors
are dry and that we can walk recklessly unless there's a sign that says
otherwise. If people can't see the telltale shine of a wet floor and take the
survival cue of walking cautiously unless there is a sign telling us to do so,
does there have to be a sign that puts as back at ease.

Thus..."relax-dry floor" sign was birthed.

All of this, while I was peeing.

Sure enough, when me and Russ are in Box Office and the phone rings,
we look at each other in that sort of way that two drivers at a stop sign do.
Both of them convinced that they have the right away. The pause lasts half
a second and then we jump into action. And since there are two phones at
the guest services counter, we both have an equal chance to get to one of
the phones.

It's pretty exciting when no one is buying tickets.

November begins with the "November Guy".
Two years and still going.

So Halloween was great.
It started with the feast at Lisa's house, where she made de-FREAKIN-licious homemade
lasagna and "red lobster biscuits". It was amazing! So I had a lot too eat and we were
watching the first Underworld flick and attacked my friend Brandi with photo takin'. Rick
dressed as a woman, Cookery dressed as a spartan, and me and Aubrey looked pretty
damn good as Vinz Clortho and Zuul.

But soon after we made our appearance, we had to leave. There were other places to hit.
Mainly the party being held by these guys. It was video themed and way too much fun.
They presented their zombie-infested short film, there were a plethora of geeks that recognized
our costumes and finally near the end of the fun, I finally got to do the timewarp on the stage
with a huge group of them.

It was a really great night.

The next morning (afternoon) Aubrey and I went to IHOP and ran into the hosts of the second
party. I thought it was pretty funny that all of the heathens were waking up in the mood for
pancakes, just as the church-goers are getting out of early morning churchy things and are
also in the mood for pancakes. IHOP is where the two groups collide and agree on pancakes.

Jennifer is a horrible person.
We went to Knott's Scary Farm and every chance she got, she would inform a clown of my problem.
But the clowns eventually get bored with the way I react to them.
If they jumped at me, yeah, I would probably shriek, but when they just slowly walk closer, I just sit there and look away.
If they only knew.

So I started a forum topic about who should be on the cast of a live action been better movie
and recently I added some more.

I think the forum is a funny idea and it's all in good fun, so go crazy with the casting if you want.
